Genre: Realistic Fiction
Review: This early Chapterbook is a wonderful example of realistic fiction because the characters and occurrences are all real things that could actually happen to students; however, the whole story is fictional. The story touches on what it is like for a child who's parent is remarrying and the struggles that they go through. The book does a great job of showing how friends can help get the student through this rough time.
A children's book that foresaw Susan's dream wedding reception. Or is it? Really it's not that great a children's book apart from the coincidental premise. And Harry isn't all the horrible actually
