A Manhattan Ghost Story

Abner Cray is a photographer from Maine who is in New York to pull together pictures for a coffee-table book. He is offered his friend Abe's apartment for the duration of his photo project. He discovers however, the apartment is already occupied by the dead woman who was recently murdered by his friend Abe. The rest of the city is equally occupied by multiple ghosts of people who just don't want to let go. Things go sideways from there. In my opinion, the author never really does pull it all together to make anything plausible or entertaining. It was a struggle to finish the book.
