This book is phenomenal for young readers. It tells the story of two siblings, Flip and Flop, making new relationships with two polar bears, Hip and Hop. The book follows a rhyming pattern which is certain to bring in younger readers. The rhyming throughout the book makes it easier to read and more enjoyable for younger students. An example of this is "Flip was five. Flop was 2. Whatever Flip did, Flop did too." This line provides a lot of necessary information for understanding the story, but it is presented in a way that still makes it fun for kids to enjoy. Along with the writing style, the illustrations are very colorful and fun and will absolutely keep students interested in what is going on. The big idea of this book is show more relationships and making new friends. Flop is upset when Flip kicks him out and replaces him with his new friend Hip. When Flop finds a new friend Hop, they realize that they can all have a good time together. This book will be incredibly relatable for students that have siblings and have dealt with making new friendships before. show less
I think is a very cute story and would be great for a read aloud in a kindergarten room or even a first grade room. This story has a great meaning about friendship! I think young kids would love it.
Very cute book about 2 groups of siblings who learn to play and include everyone in their games. This is a good book for siblings, learning to share or to include everyone, because everyone needs a friend and wants to play.
This is about two brother penguins Flip and Flop. They liked to play together but Flip, the older brother, got tired of playing with his little brother and started playing with his bear friend Hip. Flip gets sad but then makes a friend with Hop, who is Hip's younger bear brother. They all play together in the end.
Has playing the same game with someone gotten old before? Flip and Flop are brothers, and they always play Boomba together. One day, Flip wanted to play with someone else because he was tired of his brother, Flop, always being at his side. Flip decided he was going to play with his friend Hip. While Flip was playing Slip-Slide with Hip, Flop came over and wanted to play Boomba. Flip told him no. Flip was sad and went to play a game alone. He quickly became sad until a friend his age, Hop, came and played the game with Flop. They were having a good time until they both saw each of their older brothers sad and bored. Flop and Hop said they were tired of playing the game they were playing. Then, all of the boys, Flip, Flop, Hip, and Hop show more all made up a game that was called Slip-Slide-Boomba. It is important to always consider someone else's feelings. younger siblings naturally look up the the older siblings. Flop and Hop did something very mature and mice for their older brothers when they were bored even though in the beginning both older brothers, Flip and Hip, did not want to play with their younger brothers. Everyone should be included and never singled out. show less
