Gordon Kirby is one of the most well known and respected writers in motor racing. He has been the American Editor of Autosport since 1973, and is Editor-at-Large of Champ Car magazine, which debuted in spring 1999. He is also a contributing editor to Road and Track. In 1998 Gordon Received the Mario Andretti High Performance Media Award.
