This volume is our intro to the Red Ribbon Army, a recurring group of villains that feel a lot more grounded than the more otherworldly villains we see in Z.This was probably my favorite volume so far - it was nice to get away from the tournament and training setting, and this volume felt like the real start of an adventure. The RR Army is cool, and seeing Android 8's origin was a nice touch after first encountering him in the DBZ Kakarot game a few years ago.

Loving the breakneck pace and art, and the smaller focus on comedy in this volume.
Here we are introduced to the Red Ribbon Army. Goku fights a series of communist(?) terrorists who are trying to get their hands on the Dragon Balls. There is an allusion to Bruce Lee's Game of Death in that Goku has to fight his way up through a tower fighting a increasingly dangerous series of foes, including an encounter with Toriyama's version of Frankenstein (and an early Android?).

Particularly enjoyed Goku fighting the ninja, which was fun and goofy (probably the most overt reference to Game of Death) and I was greatly entertained. The Red Ribbon Army Arc shapes up to be a fun one, as I recall.
Inclui:
16: Duelo do Dragão e do Tigre!
17: Um terror sem precedentes
18: Son Gohan e Piccolo, o Grande Rei dos Demónios
