Description
The Terminator is back with another mission requiring that he travel back in time. A lethal machine (Patrick) has been sent back through time to kill a boy destined to lead the freedom fighters of the future (Furlong). The Terminator (Schwarzenegger) is sent to save the boy, assisted by the boy's mother (Hamilton), a woman whose warnings of a world headed toward nuclear disaster go unheeded.Tags

An unstoppable, time-traveling robot tries to kill a bratty kid.
A corny, boring mess. The first hour or so is stupid fun, with some good bad-assery. Then they go into the desert to get in touch with their feelings (which they don't really have, since one of them is a robot and the other is a James Cameron character). The action in the third act is okay, but not good enough to wake me up. I just don't get what people see in this - it's by far the worst of the three Terminator movies I've seen.

Great commentary on the special features disc. This was done before photoshop was on the market. Revolutionary CGI.
Deuxième volet de la saga Terminator, ce film n’est pas le meilleur de la série. Certes, il reprend de nombreux éléments du premier tome de cette série. Certes encore, il demeure plein de références et hommages.
Archétype du blockbuster, Terminator 2 ne donne pourtant pas un renouveau que l’on pouvait attendre au premier volet. Cameron n’arrive pas à dépasser les bases qu’il a pu fixer dans sa première œuvre. L’histoire est encore une fois simple. Après la destruction du Terminator, Skynet envoie un deuxième agent assassin le T-1000. Sa mission : tuer le fils de Sarah Connor.
Encore une fois, beaucoup d’actions, de dialogues cultes. Toutefois, les jeux d’acteurs sont moins bons que la première fois. Scharzy show more toujours aussi drôle et effrayant dans son rôle de machine tueuse, sauve le film à l’inverse du jeune Edward Furlong, un peu léger dans son rôle d’ado totalement désabusé...
Toutefois, ce qui tranche avec le premier volume c’est le fond de l’histoire. Alors que le premier volume traitait de la femme, celui-ci traite de l’adolescence. Il le fait avec une certaine maladresse.

James Francis Cameron was born in Kapuasking, Ontario, Canada on August 16, 1954. He studied physics and English at California State University before dropping out to pursue screenwriting. In 1990, he formed his own production company called Lightstorm Entertainment and in 1993, he founded a computer special effects company called Digital Domain. show more In 1984, he wrote and directed The Terminator.
