As with past entries in the series, convenient (for the author and plot) and implausible decisions made by various characters keep this from rising far above average. But it's still a fun read, and I've come to enjoy my time with Sean Dillon and company as long as I don't ask too many questions along the way. For example, one spoiler-ish question could be: would the "boss of all bosses" of the Italian Mafia really only have three guys (and one of them an old caretaker) guarding him at his villa?
The series has now begun tp put some meat on the bones of the stories. The seemingly impervious Sean Dillon is rounding into a real person though he still has a long way to go. The story is, as usual, a stretch but it has deepened a good deal from what has gone before. I continue to look forward to additional stories.
This is another of the Sean Dillion series and as good as any of them. Sean is a truly dispicable character in that he has no sense of compassion when dispatching someone, intended target or not. That said, he does seem to care for those close to him and will do anything to protect him.
The premise of this story provides a solid foundation for an excellent tale of intrigue, mayhem and murder. If you are a Sean Dillion fan, you'll enjoy this from cover to cover.

I found this tale to be very well written and always entertaining. Some of the details were a little hard to relate to like how easily someone can be dispatched, but the character is balanced out by his affection and loyalty to those closest to him. I recommend this for older readers.
Entertaining read with exciting characters and interesting action. Love the series and characters. Narrator is one of the best.
Good quick read. Pretty standard Sean Dillon and Ferguson violent action thriller.
