The cow, the deer, and the horse have four legs and a tail, just like Morris. But none of these animals is a moose!

Morris the Moose meets up with other animals in the forest and he tries to convince them that they are all just like him! Then the animals try to convince Morris that he is just like them! In the end, they realize they are all unique animals, and Morris realizes that he made a "moosetake"!

A cow, deer, horse, and moose are great friends. Great book for early readers.

Are all animals the same or can they all be different? Am I a moose, a cow, a deer? Maybe we can all be different and still animals. No matter what Morris the Moose will make you laugh. ( )
  MelindaBoland | Mar 13, 2015 |
Moose encounters a cow, and claims it to be a moose, using common animal body parts in his logic. They take up the discussion with a deer, who claims the cow to be a deer, using the same logic. And also claims Moose to be a deer, too. They take up the discussion with a horse, who thinks all of them are horses. Morris, the cow, and the deer all stop to get a drink of water and see their reflections in the water, realizing they don't look like each other after all.
