Had a hard time staying focused with this one. Too many eating scenes—not enough action. I actually liked the secondary characters, Sharon and Richard, better than the H/H because they grew throughout the story.
DNF. I got to 55%. I was just not involved with the story. I found the plot extremely predictable, the characters just not exciting and the narrator was too mono tone for my taste.
I normally enjoy Carly Phillips but I did have a hard time staying on track with this book. The story didn't have enough interest. The author tries to build up the suspense/mystery with a blackmailing storyline as well as a threats and break ins to a different character. Too much going on without any serious story line.
This is a little slowof a read and tobe fair its peobably me as its not normally something I would pick up to read, however now that I did I suppose I'll have to look at the next book to see what happens with the curse and the corwin family....
