during tough times, for assurance that although, it's not
always a happy ending, but there's always a new tomorrow..and we

Compilation of stories from young adults about tough times and how they get through these tough times ( )
  caitlinsnead | Nov 20, 2013 |
This book is a series of narratives compiled by three people: Mark Victor Hansen, Kimberly Kirberger, and Jack Canfield. The stories are sent in by teen contributors from their own personal experiences and opinions. The main theme is the struggle teens endure such as growing up, tragedy, death, suicide, alcohol, eating disorders, drugs and family matters. Each story deals with a difficult issue and provides something profound the author wants to share. It gives teens lessons about life and the feeling that they are not alone. This book aims to give comfort, hope, inspiration and motivation for teens.
Target Audience Grades 10-12
This inspirational book is very helpful to many teens facing similar struggles. The book provides many contacts, help lines, and websites that will help teens who are facing the same struggles. By having the stories written by teens themselves, the teen reader can easily sympathize with the author of the narrative. The book gives teens the courage and strength by providing them stories about other teens overcoming their own struggles and following it up with references for the reader to contact should they decide to seek help.

"When written in Chinese, the word "crisis" is composed of two characters. One represents danger, and the other represents opportunity. - John F. Kennedy
A nutshell representation of this book. Bad times with "bridges" (the quotations, poetry and short stories shared by various authors) to help get to the other side. ( )
