When I first read this around 20 years ago so much of what she wrote about was newer to me. Now, many years later, I found it superficial for my own needs. Still a decent intro, but would have appreciated drawing from broader and more foundational Christian spiritual traditions.
This is a solid, well written description of key spiritual disciplines in the Christian tradition. It includes references to many of the great writers.
Excellent resource for spiritual disciplines from a Reformed perspective
