Chet Williamson's spare Gothic homage to the Frankenstein story is the second Ravenloft book in a row to rework one of the genre's major classics. The trouble is that while Williamson's novel is eerily effective as a Gothic and a revisitation of the Shelley story, it fits very badly into the game setting.
