My frontage was about 200 feet and consisted of a 10 feet deep bank, thickly overgrown with brambles, well planted with trees; the two ash trees, several hawthorns, a chestnut and many elders.

I drew up a scheme for the whole lay-out, Mrs. Jacks drew up one for me as well and we pooled the ideas and evolved a third.
