This is a very funny book about a hare who loves bears-“the bigger, the hairier, the scarier, the better!” He wishes he had a bear so he gets a book about bear hunting and decides to follow its instructions in order to catch a bear. The illustrations show the bear hunting book to the reader. It first says to take a friend so he finds Rumbly Rabbit, who is understandably nervous about the whole situation but agrees to help. The two continue to consult the bear hunting book and follow its instructions until it leads them to a bear that has a rumbling in his stomach! Hare is excited and Rumbly Rabbit is terrified but their plans to capture the bear are thwarted in a most hilarious way! This would be a great read aloud book. ( )
