From Top Gear's Richard Hammond, Car Science is an intuitive and exciting children's science book on all things cars. In four sections, Car Science includes a timeline of automotive invention; a "how it works" guide to modern cars, with exploded diagrams, cutaways, and computer graphics; key physics concepts, all relating to cars and how they run; and a look into the future of cars, including eco-friendly concept cars.
Credit for this book goes to Illustrators Chris Longhurst, Alex Bec, and Richard Burgess. They made the text sing. Each page leaps out at you like a pop up book. It is full of facts and history. A lot of stuff that I do not know and I thought I knew something about cars. They say that the drivers are the cars brain but it is also important to know the mechanics behind how cars works. Car Science is geared for kids but as a adult, I learned a lot. Fascinating.
