Fabijancic was born in Canada to a Croatian father. This is not a typical travel guide, but a personal narrative of visits to Croatia between 1996 and 1999. He describes his interaction with the people, as well as history and politics of each area. The return visits allow comparisons to be made with his earlier visits. Very interesting. ( )

Since my family comes from Northern Croatia I was interested to read about Mr. Fabijancic's point of view from the south. I wish the pictures had been in colour but I feel his reference to the south is very interesting. ( )
