I read The Immortals by Neiderman because of his also having written The Devil's Advocate. Immortals concerns a the horrors committed by people in pursuit of eternal youth. The themes were deep, but the characters were a bit shallow. It would probably adapt well to the screen, as did Devil's Advocate. Standing on its own, without the extra oompf and depth provided by actors etc., it's just a little flat. ( )
