In the story of Meru Puri , set in modern day Japan all high school freshman Airi Hoshina ever wanted was to someday live in a cozy home. And find joy in the little things in life. As a result, she makes it her daily mission to get to school on time because school legend has it that the longer you keep a non-tardy streak. The better boyfriend you’ll get [Myth] but just when things are going accordingly to plan, on the way to school one morning Airi Hoshina drops her mirror losing it. One that has been passed down through her families, generations and suddenly a little boy emerged. Out of the mirror. From a magical kingdom in the short time it took her to track the mirror down. Coming from a world called ‘Astale’ Aram Eucharistia finds himself stuck in a situation. Where he can’t go back to ‘Astale ‘through the mirror because of the spell cast on him. By his older, trouble making half-brother Jeile Eucharistia. And so Aram finds himself under the care of Airi Hoshina a freshman high school student. Who lives alone well technically her grandparents live downstairs, but they keep different schedules so she is often alone. The spell cast on Aram was the darkness, aging spell. Meaning that every time he is put into darkness for a period of time, mostly at night when sleeping he grows old. For example when Jeile comes out of the mirror Airi pushes Aram into a closet to hide him so he wouldn’t get killed while he was still in his form as a child. Periodically when he comes out making him a teenager. Maintaining a normal life and trying to take of Aram is going to be pretty hard for her, but Airi seems to have no choice but take care of the childish prince. In the story, Airi’s feelings seem to change. From time to time Airi is feeling strange and confused. Hoping that everything is just a dream. As time goes on when more characters, appear from the magical family mirror. Airi starts to change her thoughts, toward the situation. Although she still practically wishes that she could get rid of all the magical people etc. That are forcing out of the mirror. As a all around sum up, people who don’t mind pictures in a whole book. Or like fantasy mixed with a slight, non-fiction romance and mystery, this would be a good book for you. This book has a surprise around every corner, so there is no time to get bored. I would consider this book one that no one would want to put down if there are into this type of stuff.
