Just started on this Ellis. A selection of short stories and not yet as strong as any of her novels. I wonder if Ellis ever inhabits a male mind with any effect. The majority of her male characters are either boors, clueless, or both. Her men just muddle along, unaware of the emotional currents eddying around them.
