It's the same as the previous ones, some annoyances at the beginning, better behaviour further on. No, what bothers me about this one is the author's world building. She is obviously trying to put some equality in her books. We have a dominant female of high rank, and that there aren't very many is apparently a coincidence. There are female alphas. But apparently, it's more difficult to be a female dominant than a male one, because it makes it more difficult for the female to submit to her mate. Yes. Because apparently it doesn't matter who is more dominant, the woman still has to put up with more bullshit than the man. Also, Mercy will only accept a more dominant personality, not a ' weak' submissive one or a less dominant one. Interesting that the men have no such problem. And instead of taking a chance for once, the author made the man a better fighter and just a bit more dominant. no reviews | add a review

But when a brilliant changeling researcher is kidnapped from DarkRiver territory in a seemingly senseless attack, Mercy and Riley must work together to track the young maleâ??before his shadowy captors decide heâ??s no longer useful. Along the way, the two dominants may find that submitting to one another uncovers not just a deadly conspiracy, but a passion so raw, itâ??ll leave them both b No library descriptions found. |

This is one of my favorites in the Psy-Changeling series. I like that Mercy and Riley have a lot in common (they're both strong, protective, etc). Their chemistry is great and they're really sweet together, even though there's a decent amount of friction because they're from different packs and had different expectations.
It's been a bit of an adjustment for me to read about shifters, especially since it's been quite a while. The whole "dominance" thing can be strange sometimes. But once I accept that this is a fantasy world with different rules, it's definitely an enjoyable series. ( )
