I wanted to give this book *****,. but I'll be frank (even though about 80% of those who read it may disagree; that's okay...they've been wrong before): As long as you are capable of weeding out the denominational fluff of this book, you'll be greatly helped in understanding some important principles about evangelism, and perhaps even more, apologetics necessary to do effective evangelism. What surprised me--years ago, when I first discovered Ray Comfort (and later, Kirk Cameron)--is just how universal are his principles of evangelism, in spite of the oft-blindly Calvinist theology which he parrots (inconsistently, the Augustinian and Presbyterian would suggest).
On the other hand, if only for the practical way in which he zealously show more pursues his goal and the carefully organized contents within this book, the minister/evangelist/pastor (and perhaps even more importantly, the student in preparation for those offices) will find a treasure trove of good, common sense on which to reflect. But again, I warn, the theology this book presents is straight out of the Calvinist playbook and it reflects the inconsistencies inherent therein. That is most unfortunate. show less

A very extensive work at a reasonable price. It is more apologetic than evangelism oriented.
The contents of this book are available at www.wayofthemaster.com. The chapters are short and readable, making it ideal for devotional reading. The ideas are not complex. The suggested readings page also has URLs for apologetics and evangelism.
