Description

In Crossing over, John brings his listeners with him on the extraordinary journey that has been his life since his New York Times bestseller 'One last time' was published in 1998. In the style of his TV show and personal appearances, poignant, funny, and remarkably candid John deals head-on with the controversial issues he has confronted on his voyage as a psychic medium. As much as I would like to believe, this book didn't give me much to work with. I wish he had talked more about his psychic powers and what he thinks about life after death and less time trying to convince us that he is for real and whining about his spirit guides jerking him around. The chapter about his participation in a research study was totally laughable. He expressed surprise about the questions that he was asked when he appeared on the show "Dateline." Wouldn't you watch a show before you agreed to be a guest on it? The chapter on families of 9/11 victims sounded like exactly what he kept telling us, over and over and over again, that it wasn't -- exploiting them.

This was a hard book to read for a non-believer, however the author made a very good effort in documenting his experiences practicing psychic phenomenon. Although I still find it hard to believe in his explanations I ended up convinced he was not a fraudster.
An interesting story of how John Edwards conceived and created his popular television show. Some stories about his insights and readings, but not enough.

Interesting looks at the creation and production of the controversial show 'Crossing Over'
Another mystical new age book that failed to captivate me, it lacks personality and inpact to coax you into turning the page.
He speaks to dead people, this is the story of how he ended up on TV
Very good book. Hard to put down.
