This is a very fun book to read! I love all of the picture cards and the bright colors that were used on the pages. It is highly interactive as children have to lift the flap to discover the words that are hidden underneath the object on the page. There are lots of shapes like triangles, diamonds, circles and squares, and lots of realistic pictures of things like a lady bug, a shoe, a pancake with butter and syrup, ice skates, and an egg. Some of the pages display the flaps as if they are part of a wrapped "present" where a child gets to "peek" inside. Some of the pages are a bit busy, but this book would keep kids busy for several minutes, on many different occasions. I really liked how the colors are coordinated with the shapes and show more objects. show less
