I was looking for some background information before I go to Vieques and this book did provide a bit. It was written in the midst of the protests that eventually drove the Navy off the island a few years ago. Sadly, I don't have what it takes to find interest in the details of politics. It's a clearly biased account, but I don't think it invalidates the information provided. ( )
