Funnybones

The Ahlbergs do it again! A big skeleton and a little skeleton and a dog skeleton go out to scare some people and talk all about the people they're gonna scare but then there's no one around so they scare each other. Great stuff, and also teaches kids that they can make their own fun (my son just found this lesson relevant when kindergym was cancelled!).

Dem bones

I now have this set aside for my first grader Little's school March Read-A-Thon. She loves humor and silliness, being quite humorous and silly herself. Let's hope these three nighttime wanderers tickles her funny bone.

P.S. I have no idea how I know the song "Dem Bones" but I do. ("The foot bone is connected to the leg bone...") I'll be sure to find a good YT video of it to share with the littlest Little.

This book is about a big skeleton, a little skeleton, and a doggy skeleton who live in a dark cellar. They are laying in bed and the big skeleton sits up and asks what they should do and the little skeleton says that they should go out and scare somebody. They walk to the park and swing on the swings and the big skeleton throws a stick for the dog skeleton. The dog was running to catch the stick, ran in to a tree, and broke into pieces. The big and little skeleton try and put him back together. After a while, they successfully put the dog back together. They leave the park and on the way home they forgot that they wanted to scare someone, but nobody was awake. They decided they would scare eachother because it would be better than show more nothing. So all the way home they scare each other. show less

Then, the dog skeleton falls off the swings and his bones get all mixed up. The big skeleton and the little skeleton have to put the dog skeleton back together again. Then they play in the city and with the skeleton animals at the zoo.

Bien sympa ce sombre, sombre livre. Une histoire de squelettes dont la structure fait penser au poème « dans Paris… » de Paul Eluard, ou bien aux poupées russes. Des squelettes bien sympathiques, avec de belles couleurs flashantes sur le noir des dessins, des squelettes qui se font des blagues.
Un livre assez facile à lire, soit en lecture accompagnée (c’est amusant de trouver un ton adapté, plusieurs interprétations sont possibles…) soit comme un premier livre au long cours pour des lecteurs de fin de CP ou de début de CE1. Et à la fin, on peut espérer que les petits lecteurs sachent écrire le mot « sombre » !

Een informatief kinder prentenboek over bot en botje. Zij hebben een hond en in het verhaal gebeurd er iets en valt het hondje uit elkaar, dan moeten ze deze op een goede manier in elkaar zetten. Dit doen ze met een liedje en eigenlijk leert dit boek over de verschillende botten die je kunt hebben, niet heel gedetailleerd maar wel in verhaalvorm. Een aantal woorden zijn wat ouder die je tegenkomt omdat het boek ook wat ouder is maar het is zeker een goed voorleesboek

Gelezen op school in de owp en deels thuis want had hem in de korte tijd niet uit.
