Another wonderful tale from Challinor weaved amongst New Zealand's history. It brings alive this divisive period in our history with it's emergency regulations that were to make the lives of the families involved almost unbearable. I found the ending difficult - this is a different time - and it wasn't so easy for women to be able to make the choices they can today.
