Fun one-commute short story about the value of selling your soul to overcome addiction. It left me with a smile for sure. (And yes, I am an ex-smoker. Quit nearly 30 years ago. I did not have to sell my soul so I guess I lucked out.)

Intriguing, quick listen. The narrator was awful, but the story was good.
This was a fun, wicked little (audio)book. It's about the tactics of a company that helps people quit smoking. Their motto should be "Quit smoking or die trying." I enjoyed Eric Roberts' reading, but he was awfully quiet during some parts and it was kinda hard to hear. But he wasn't melodramatic as many male readers I've heard on other audio books.

Nicely creepy story, one of King's earliest, that I've read in print several times. Audio via Overdrive was very good, and I enjoyed it even knowing the twisty ending beforehand. A man tries to quit smoking and gets himself involved with some very unusual people in a "self-help" group - these folks mean *business*! Translates fairly well to audio format.

This was a good little short story. I am sure it will eventually end up in a book, but I finally broke down and listened to the audio book since that's the only way I could get it right now. This would be a controversial way to quit smoking, but quite effective, I'm certain.

This is a short story by Stephen King, which was recently been released in audio format. The story was dramatized in the movie “Cat’s Eye” back in 1985, which featured three of King’s short stories.

It is a typical King story -- dark and twisted with a bit of dark humour – about a man who is a chain-smoker who runs into an old college friend who gives him the business card of a firm called “Quitters, Inc.” who he says helped him to kick the habit. The main character, Dick Morrison, decides to contact the firm, more out of curiosity than a true desire to quit...and the results are not quite what he expects!

I enjoyed it.

It was narrated by Eric Roberts. I found the jazz music playing at the beginning of the book to be a little show more distracting, making it difficult to hear Eric’s narration until the music faded into the background and then finally ceased. show less
