Sometimes secrets can kill . . .

I know who you are. When Elizabeth Baxter reads these words, her world crashes. Five years ago, she was Hollywood superstar Mallory Eden—until a mysterious stalker turned her life into a nightmare. Now she hides in the small town of Windmere Cove, Rhode Island, living in fear, constantly looking over her shoulder . . .

Then her show more house is ransacked. The phone rings, and no one is on the other end ... And very soon Elizabeth realizes she's being hunted again. Her only peace is the solace she's found in the arms of Harper Smith. She longs to tell him the truth—and then she learns of his own secret past ... a past that connects to Mallory Eden's.

Bad ear for dialog or internal monologue - no little kid would say 'sundress' and people don't think in proper sentences or use words like perhaps and return in casual conversation. Hapless Elizabeth bleats endlessly about not being able to have a baby and then in another scene is babysitting a brat who destroys everything she touches within seconds and she is resentful. Well, what did you expect you idiot? Kids are gross. She's also ridiculously timid and dumb. The 'flirty byplay' between her and Harper is moronic. Who talks like this? This is supposed to be an adult chat-up? Why am I listening to this? DNF. Returned to library. Ugh.
Too many random characters and stories. We don't need 15 possible bad guys. Horrible rendering of childpseak. Mais ça se laisse lire.
