As an adult, however, it has become a traditional watch that may-or-may-not be constantly on repeat in December. The humor in this version captures two (or more) types of sarcasm. It's one of those movies that seems to get better with age. Give it a go, and see what you'll be referencing the next time you're dressing for a night out. ( ) This classic book is about the Grinch and his evil doings to ruin the Christmas of Whoville. I think this book allows students who celebrate Christmas to genuinely appreciate the holiday. It is also good to introduce this book for students who can share an understanding of Christmas without those who celebrate about Jesus Christ. Inside a snowflake exists the magical land of Whoville. In Whoville, live the Whos, an almost mutated sort of Munchkin-like people. All the Whos love Christmas, yet just outside of their beloved Whoville lives the Grinch. The Grinch is a nasty creature that hates Christmas, and plots to steal it away from the Whos, whom he equally abhors. Yet a small child, Cindy Lou Who, decides to try befriending the Grinch. Why is the Grinch such a grouch? No one seems to know, until little Cindy Lou Who takes matters into her own hands and turns both Whoville and the Grinch's world upside down, inside out, and funny side up in her search for the true meaning of Christmas. No library descriptions found. |
