My Review: Another favorite from my childhood. Suess in general is fantastic, his art is fun and his playful rhymes echo through many years of my youth. I remember fondly flipping through his books even in high school. The Foot Book in particular plays with opposites and is wonderful for kids.

My niece's review: Tasty. Literally, as the cardboard pages spent most of their time in her mouth.
The Foot Book is a fun read for young children just beginning to read. It has lots of rhyming and repeating words which will be good for children just learning words. The pictures are very amusing. Dr.Suess presents a lot of different feet also using different numbers and colors. A great book for 4 or 5 year olds.

Dr. Seuss's "The Foot Book," is a silly story about feet. This has always been one of my daughter's favorites. "Slow feet, quick feet, trick feet, sick feet!" Each page is full of goofy rhymes that will keep young readers giggling. Seuss is a master at making a quality children's story out of thin air. He combines funny pictures, silly rhymes, and made up words to keep kids turning the pages. "His feet, her feet, fuzzy fur feet." This is just another example of the sentences that Seuss is known for. There really isn't a clear message to this story. Mostly the story is meant to entertain and it does just that.
This book was illustrated very well although the story itself was weak. The illustrations of the characters was attention grabbing with the use of colors, shapes and textures. Each character had a unique physical quality that stood out to the reader. There was not however a strong story line or plot. The only engaging feature of this book was the illustrations and the use of pace and flow of the wording.
This is a good, light-hearted book that's well suited both for preschoolers and early readers. Breezy, repetitive, rhyming text helps children read, and funny pairs of words (small feet, big feet, here come pig feet! his feet, her feet fuzzy fur feet!) keep everybody's interest. I can't praise this one enough :)
The Foot Book is a light and fun look at numerous different types of feet that is sure to keep children laughing. From Dr. Seuss’ quirky rhymes to his wildly imaginative drawings, he entertains children as well as educating them by showing them a world of opposites. You will see everything from “wet feet/ dry feet” to “well feet/sick feet.” Teachers can find similar books along with fun games and activities to try with their students at www.seussville.com.
A Dr. Seuss classic for 3-5 year olds which celebrates feet! It could be read when teaching right and left to younger kids, and other opposites like day and night. Super book!
