It's my Bible. I refer to this book again and again for perfect alignment instructions simply and clearly given. Covers a good section of Pranayama, the 8 Limbs of Yoga, and a week by week practice to bring you up to speed! If you have had exposure to Iyengar style classes with their emphasis on precision & alignment, and are interested in developing a home practice, this may be the book for you.
Well presented photos and understandable text. Way more asanas than one person could do, and programs that would take hours out of each day. But the explanations were valuable for the poses I choose to do.
This is a comprehensive, practical, and authoritative guide to the method of Yoga developed over the last fifty years by B.K.S. Iyengar, the world's foremost exponent of Yoga (according to the book cover). Well-illustrated with step-by-step photographs of over 100 key postures.
I absolutely love this volume of yoga postures and descriptions. Instructions are clear, easy to follow and work at and for all levels of yoga practice.
