Since the Bible is very large, and is really a library of 66 books. Since we cannot read and study ALL at this time, but only the main teachings There fore, he writes we shall principally study the catechism, which presents "the chief pars of Christian Doctrine." Since many people knew nothing a all of Christian doctrine & many pastors were quite unfit to teach because they also were ignorant of the Bible. So in 1529, Luther wrote the small Catechism (arranged in form of questions and answers)
This is another book given to me by Pastor Robert Hulls of the Lutheran Church in Riverhead, New York in the summer of 1957. It together with Luther's Small Catechism were to play a profound role in the formation of my personal beliefs.
