I wanted to give this another Star, for the story overall was pretty gripping. However, the plot errors were just enough that I couldn't. There are some humorous bits that I would like to put in highlights, but can't do that with library books (

While I could figure out the situation pretty early on, it's the way Kava unveils the details and dangles red herrings that make the book worth reading. (

An okay thriller, but not very special, quite predictable to be honest.

What I liked best and what me kept reading, is reading about Maggie's relationship with her mother and her mother's struggle to stay sober, to belong, to cope with the past. (
