I liked this but no way did I think that Rebecca deserved Jake. He was a very sweet man and a great beta hero and it was worth reading the book just for him. Kudos to the author for taking her story line all the way even if it added to the unlikeability of Rebecca.
When Rebecca finds herself pregnant and the father gone, her father encourages Jake to marry her. He says he'll ask but not force a marriage. Jake has land in Texas and when Rebecca agrees they leave for Texas. Jake is a bastard and vows Rebecca's child will be accepted as his own. Being best friends makes for a good chance at happiness if Rebecca can forget Brett. There are problems at the ranch with Jake's half-brothers and the cattle wars around fencing the range. Good romance from Heath, but Rebecca took too long to get beyond Brett.
These four stars are for jake and Jacob only. If there ever was a stupidest most selfish woman on the planet I would say it was Rebecca. In my eyes she still doesn't deserve jake but to be miserable and Learn her lesson. You don't tear out someone's heart like that And then stomp on it after you've ruined it for everyone else. And you know what's the worst part in my opinion? She's a woman.......I would expect it from a man but a woman? She should be ashamed because women should know better.
Intense and sweet and makes you believe in true love

ok and I dreamed about this story all ight long so it must have really touched me more than I realized
