Description
As the middle child, Pepper Prescott's rebellious nature helped her survive when her parents disappeared and she and her siblings were sent to different foster homes around the country. Now an independent young woman, Pepper finds herself on the run after witnessing a shooting. Fearing for her life, Pepper flees to the only place she ever considered home and is shocked to find her old lover, Dan Graham, living on the remote mountain ranch. A battle-hardened ex-Special Forces soldier, Dan no show more longer strikes Pepper as a man she can trust with her secrets, her life, and her love. But as long-simmering desires flare into a deep, sensual passion, Pepper realizes the only way she can reclaim her life is to ally herself with the enigmatic warrior who's willing to help fight for her future by solving the mysteries of her past--and making her his wife today. show lessTags

The continuing story of the lost Prescott sisters. This one had more of a romantic suspense storyline. I like reuniting high school sweethearts stories and this one was sweet. They neither one had really gotten over the other one. The suspense part was nice and pretty well plotted. The emotional reconnection of the hero and heroine was solid and believable. I liked this just as well on my second reading as I did when I read it when it first came out.
good story about Pepper and Dan who find each other again after having been together as kids. a crazy general is after Pepper and terrorist after Dan to make things interesting
Pepper Prescott
Dan Graham
Not as great as the first story but still pretty good. Found it to have a bit too much filler in the middle but a very good climax. 3 Stars

This book is really interesting. It's about an orphan who witnesses a murder. She's goes back to her favorite foster home to be safe. And runs straight into her past, the thing she despartley tried to forget. I give it a thumbs up.
This is the 2nd book in a series (the Lost Texas Hearts series) about 4 siblings who were split up when their parents are killed in a car wreck. Years later, Pepper (the middle child) sees a murder and moves back to the town she was raised in to hide. Some of her siblings are looking for her and her old lover Dan is living next door but others are looking for her as well and danger lurks.
