Elise was a widowed woman with land of her own to do with as she pleased. But that all changed the day the indian war party invaded the fort near her home and burned and looted the entire area. She escaped alive with a few others and began a journey to run from the indian raiding party. But the few survivors knew they would never make it without the help of someone who knew the area and the ways of the indians. Enter the Great War Chief of the Natchez. A half breed of Natchez and French parentage, Reynaud Chavalier, came forward and accepted the role. However, the favor would not go unpaid. He required the services of the beautiful Elise as his companion. She fought the force of attraction, but Reynaud's patience was more than willing show more to hold out.
