Description
Eccentric neighbor, loyal friend, and totally innocent tease, impish Elissa Dean was exactly what Kingston Roper needed-to get him out of a romantic bind, that is. His sister-in-law's intentions were anything but sisterly, and King had to produce a make-believe lover to run interference. Sweet Elissa fit the bill nicely. The act seemed foolproof until seeing Elissa in his bed heated King's blood and holding her filled him with unbearable longing. As the fantasy threatened to become reality, show more King was torn-did he desire a woman he could not touch? Would he touch a woman he dared not love? show lessTags

Not fine wine
Before reading this I had no idea a whole book could be about a "sheltered, naive, innocent" woman holding on to her virginity into mid-twenties because the proper thing to do is get married first but suddenly lose control of her body around the almost forty tall, dark, and handsome oil man after being "friends" with him for two years.
The bonus part of this story? The storyline to get these two wacky kids together is that our "hero" wants Virgin (referring not to disparage but it was quite honestly the only identity the author gave this character ) to pretend to be his girlfriend to not only help dissuade his sister-in-law from hitting on him but to help HIM keep away from SIL, too. Y'all, he wants to bang his show more SIL.
The whole book is "hero" and Virgin getting hot and bothered but breaking apart because they're not married. I know, I know, there are modern people with same sentiment. God love you! I, however, am not into reading 250ish pages of people giving themselves blue balls because of a guy in the sky. "Hero" also smokes. show less

Kingston Roper needs a favor from a friend - get caught in his bed. Elissa doesn't mind obliging, but once he's seen her curves in a whole new light, King's having a hard time keeping his hand off. Not that Elissa doesn't feel the same, but she was raised to want love, marriage and the whole nine yards, and King wants a mistress...
