"A Desert Isle Keeper. Touching, ingenious. I love this book. Grade: A (highest rating)." -AllAboutRomance.com

Forever His by Shelly Thacker
Starts out 1299 with a tournament and the men decide instead of wiping out the family of heirs that they work together.
The king states he must have a relative marry the other side. She was in the nunnery and ready to devote herself to God.
They are never to raise their blades or they lose everything they have.
1993 in France, Celine Fontaine is enjoying the festivities and knows something important is about to happen. Her sister Jacqueline is trying to set her up with a man.
Celine had given up modeling and now works in fibers...the physical therapy is going well but not many know of her injuries...
The two worlds collide as they try to figure things out...she's arrived in 1300 and has no clue as to what is at stake....
Good, funny at times time travel book. Gaston wants her to be a maid now doing chores?
Loved learning about how the estate was run in 1300's and what was important to wealth and security. Love how she steps up to the plate and teaches others throughout the house how to make things easier and helps with the children. Hot spicy sex scenes as they get to know one another.
She is able to learn how to get back to the future...
Received this ebook free from smashwords and this is my honest review. ( )

Let me start by saying I hate time travel romance. It is usually so full of plot holes it is surprising that the characters don't fall through them. Having said that when I realised what this was I very nearly deleted it but decided to give it a chance and was pleasantly surprised. The characters are decent the plot holds up ( in so far as time travel allows) and the story moved along well mostly. The few pages I felt it dragged were actually the sex scenes in the end of the book - we get it! they love we other! How many times do they have to say it ! -
Good conclusion and nice story. A good escapist read :) ( )

Forever His is a story about a woman from 1999 heads to bed on New Years Eve and wakes up in the bed of a handsome stranger 700 years in the past. I’ve said before that I’m not much for time travel. This may have something to do with a few unsuccessful time travel reads in my past, whatever it is didn’t leave a negative reaction to Forever His.

Sir Gaston a French knight returned home to get vengeance from the nobleman who slew his family and forced to marry Celeste by King Phillip, (who is mistaken as his mortal enemy’s charge) in the hopes of peace between the two men. As you can probably tell, this makes Gaston unbearably cranky and suspicious of Celeste’s reason for appearing out of midair.

Meanwhile, Celeste is frantically trying to find a way home before time runs up and she’s stuck in the past forever. I found myself completely enthralled by Celeste and pretty impressed that she doesn’t lose her mind. If I had went to bed and woke up without electricity, indoor plumbing, and freedom (this is medieval France. Not a lot of options for women back then) I am sure I would find myself slowly growing crazier.

As impressed as I was with Celeste, I hated Sir Gaston for much of the book. I get that he’s grieving for his family and in disbelief of Celeste’s stories of living in a time with flying machines as transportation, but he was an ass. This made it difficult to care whether he lived or died, but somehow I made it through. I spent the time enjoying Celeste’s stubborn honesty in the face of this large man’s wrath. She was an impressive heroine!

While I didn’t like one-half of the main characters, I enjoyed Forever His and hope to read more from Thacker and this series, but I do hope the rest of her heroes turn out to be easier to like. :) ( )

Celine was a wealthy woman in the twentieth century who had everything her heart desired. She had money, a family who loved her, a modeling career, cars, homes all over the world, her pick of handsome men to date, but what she didn't have was time. Her doctors had told her that she would have to go back under the knife again soon to remove the bullet fragment in order to save her life, and this scared her to death. It actually gave her panic attacks and New Years Eve 1993 was just such one of those times when an attack began. But Celine knew how to avoid the worst part, remove herself from others and calm herself alone. And that's just what she did, alone in her room at the chateau, looking out the window during the fool moon eclipse. Then something extraordinary happened...Celine was transported back in time 700 years. Back into the bed of a very virile man. A man who would be her enemy in another life. Gaston proved to be a veritable foe but an even better lover when Celine finally got him to believe her truly unbelievable tale. ( )
