A retired teacher, now miniaturist and grandmother, Geraldine Porter relocated from the Bronx to California. She loves her family, friends and the life she's created for herself. So when her neighbor/friend June asks for help vindicating June's best friend Zoe who has been arrested in the murder of her artist boyfriend, Gerry learns everything she can about Brad, the victim, Zoe, other artists, actors and participants involved in the Lincoln-Douglas debate re-enactment.

Good characterizations and plot but pacing could move faster. Otherwise another fun mystery that I enjoyed.

Geraldine, her granddaughter Maddie and nephew Skip are at it again. This time the murder hits a little too close to home for Skip, his girlfriend June pleads with him to help her best friend, the person he just picked up for a murder charge.

Nothing will do except for Gerry and Maddie to get busy trying to prove that someone else did the deed.

As usual there are several miniature tips for decorating your own doll houses for box rooms.

There were plenty of red herrings in this one but I did suspect the actual villain for a while. As usual a fun read and a good mystery
