I love the kingdom of Akora. I want to live there.
Princess Kassandra of Akora has always had a gift: She sometimes gets glimpses of the future. What she sees, the destruction of Akora, is something she hopes to prevent. Kassandra's new brother-in-law, Royce of Hawkforte did not have a great time the last time he was in Akora, what with being held prisoner and all. He's got a bone to pick with those who threaten Akora's future as well. (Also, obvs, they like each other).
Kassandra is an awesome heroine. So intelligent and strong, willing to do her duty to her country even if it threatens her burgeoning romance, capable of stepping in for her brother, the Vanax, and ruling while he is unable. Royce is not threatened by her strength and show more intelligence, rather he admires her for it and seeks to protect her as well as support her in doing what she must. (He does go a bit overboard on the protectiveness thing, but don't they all?). I love it. I love this writer. Can't wait for more...and I think I know where the next one is headed!! show less
