I love Jo Beverly and have read many of her books but this one is dreadful. Poor characterization, ridiculous scenarios, an immature heroine. All the secondary characters felt like ciphers. I didn't like any of it. I started skimming and then stopped even doing that.. Didn't finish.
Claire is forced to marry Renald d Lisle and then discovers he is the man who actually killed her father. Drama ensues.
