An alcoholic father, a chance encounter in a risque costume after a Halloween party, and a mugging - the circumstances under which Meredith Johns meets Rey Hart are ripe for misinterpretation. And he does. But hey, the girl can bake biscuits.
Readers will catch on to Meredith's secret long before Rey tumbles to it. It's nice to see one of Palmer's heroines with a bit of spine and a career she gets to keep!

A cute, quick, fun - it is part of the Long Tall Texans series that Diana Palmer has and even though they hint at some of the other brothers stories, don't really see it being necessary to read them all before this one.

Susan Spaeth Kyle was born on December 11, 1946 in Cuthbert, Georgia. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history, with minors in anthropology and Spanish, from Piedmont College in 1995. She worked as a newspaper reporter and columnist for 16 years. She writes romance novels under the pen name of Diana Palmer. Since 1979, she has written show more more than 100 novels as Diana Palmer including Heather's Song, The Patient Nurse, The Morcai Battalion, and Protector. She has won several awards including a Lifetime Achievement Award from Romantic Times. In 2015 she made The New York Times Best Seller List with her title, Untamed.
