Naïve and shockingly innocent, Lady Jessica Charteris tricked a rugged, handsome stranger into a marriage in name only in order to escape a union with a vile British lord. Totally unprepared for the hardships awaiting her in America, she is terrified by the prospect of life in the harsh and magnificent show more land at the edge of the Rockies. But even more frightening is Wolfe himself-a man whose raw sensuality leaves her breathless. Her proud, virile new "husband" is not one to be trifled with, nor will he be denied what his heart fervently desires-for only in Wolfe Lonetree's arms can Jessica truly learn the unparalleled joy of becoming the right man's woman. show less

Would have been a keeper except the hero's resistance to t he heroine and not wanting to stay married to her dragged on too long. Almost got to the point of "who cares" if they stay married or not. Hero is a bastard son of an English lord & Native American maiden.

Follows in the same theme as the first book in the series. If you like western romances with plucky females and alpha males, you will probably like this.
nice, predictable Western set in I'm guessing Colorado in the late 1880s
I was hooked on HR for a very long time - this is my top favorite series
