This was creative but I was hoping for more from the story of the 7th daughter Winter MacKeage. The action was tame, too much pondering and love was asymmetrical. It was worth the read but her fathers story was a lot better. ( )

Not bad, but not great. Romance set in Maine of the youngest daughter of a transplanted time traveling Scottish Highlander who must choose her mystical destiny or be with the dark and handsome stranger that shows up in town.

Book five of the Highlander series begins as Winter MacKeage is ready to meet her destiny as a druidh. Before she comes into possession of her powers, Winter meets and falls in love with Matt Gregor. The story revolves around love, redemption, magic, and the safety of mankind. I enjoyed the book, but felt the writing did not flow a smoothly as in earlier novels. I recommend reading the earlier books in the series as much of the book is based on past occurrences. ( )
