This wonderful picture book is a poetic meditation on the diverse world of birds. Every time I read it I feel inspired to go look for birds in nature. A great choice for introducing a nature walk or art project.

Also a great example of the picture book format and what it can do.

This is a great book for kindergarten through second-grade. Especially in the nature or bird unit of the school year. ( )

This is a delightful book of imagining about birds for young children -- a sort of stream-of-consciousness text with simple language and clear illustrations.

This book talks about birds and how there can be all shapes and sizes. It also talks about what things would look like if they were shaped like birds, such as the clouds in the sky. It also talked about how birds are sometimes on telephone wires or in trees.
