Skimmed, so I'm sure I missed out on some of the finer points of the plot...but this was so agonizingly boring that there was no way I was getting through it by reading every. single. word. Almost any other couple in the novel would've offered a more engaging love story, and I'm rather disappointed I didn't get to witness more of Chariton and Brat's—with bonus adorable Ruby, who despite being a toddler and saying a grand total of maybe five words still had more charisma than the hero and heroine combined.

Romance. Follow up to The Runaway Princess. Again, okay light reading, but nothing special.
I enjoyed it, just not as much as Christina's other books.
