Lady Regina Wharton is determined to avoid the perils of marriage and has earned the nickname The Ice Princess when the Earl of Carlisle starts calling. Why would he be interested in a woman who has already been thru 4 season's and who's father ruined his life and had him imprisoned? What terrible game is he playing? Reggie of course falls for him and it is only after marriage that she learns the truth-that she is a pawn in his game of revenge.
OK, maybe I'm hormonal today but I really liked this book. Carlisle was definitely a conniving beast in the beginning, but he softened slowly but surely. Reggie was a little gullible at first, but she toughened up and started standing up to him. I like the story of Becky and her awful husband and then Mick's story (yes, too good to be true-but this is a romance novel!).
This was 4 1/2 plus stars for me. Very good ending to a great series.
