I clearly see why somebody wanted to film exactly the same script again - "Open your eyes" is just a so so play of a wonderful plot. It just had to be filmed again with better actors. And each of them did a better job. Even Penelopa Cruz, who played in both movies, played incomparably better in "Vanilla Sky". I watched both versions, this one looks like some students try to retell the plot of Vanilla Sky... To those who are deciding which one to watch, go with "Vanilla Sky'.
