The book The Place of Lions is by Eric Campbell. In this book, Chris and his father move to Africa. Things go very badly, when the small plane crashes in the middle of the African wilderness. Chris’ dad and the pilot are severely injured, and Chris must take care of them. Chris makes the brave decision to go look for help, despite the activity of lions all around them. As Chris goes on his journey, an old lion follows him, and even helps him when he is attacked by poachers. Chris finds help, and the old lion makes it back to his place of birth so he can die peacefully. The cover of this book is very appealing, containing many colors, Chris’ and the lion’s faces, and the African wilderness in the background. I highly recommend this show more book for anyone who likes nature, adventure, suspense, books that leave you satisfied, or just a quick read. show less
