Based on a Romanian story by Ion Creangă titled “The Pouch with Two Coins” Rascol tells the tale of how love and generosity brings bountiful riches and happiness, while, greed and unkindness always lose to the courageous innocents who stand their ground for what is right.
A tale of friendship and forgiveness in spite of greed. It is wonderful that Sabina Rascol has shared a Romanian tale of a strong, resilient and kind rooster with her readers.

His master in dire need for money and food, a rooster stumbles upon some money on the road. However, a rich, greedy noble swipes the money away from the rooster and takes it for himself. The rooster follows the noble, constantly insisting that the money be returned. This book teaches students not to steal or be greedy.
